‘Trash Mountain’ will be the first film directed by Lilly Wachowski since 2015’s ‘Jupiter Ascending’
Lilly Wachowski announced its first film in almost ten years, Trash Mountain. The feature film will star Caleb Hearonmade by Colin Trevorrowdirector of Jurassic World: The World of Dinosaurs (2015), and scripted by Hearon It is Ruby Caster.
Trash Mountain will be a comedy starring a gay man in his 20s who returns to Missouri to deal with the aftermath of his father’s death, including the task of searching through a house full of objects (via NME).
The film will be the solo debut of Lillyknown for working with her sister Lana in the franchise Matrix. They also drove together Jupiter Fate (2015), the last feature film in which Lilly worked as a director.
“When my friend Caleb Hearon send me Trash Mountain, I jumped at the chance to direct it. So beautiful, sad and funny! Queer representation and stories are vital right now as we are pushed further to the margins. Our amazing writers, Caleb It is Rubyare a shining light in all this darkness,” said the Lilly to the Collider (via NME).
