The story revolves around Peter (Levi Miller), a 12-year-old boy living in an orphanage in London, England during World War II. In the terror of war, Peter and his friends are kidnapped by pirates on a ship.
The ship takes them to Neverland, where they meet the fearsome Captain Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman). He saves people to use them as a source of pixum, a gemstone with fairy dust.
