Romain runs away
Elena recovered her memory. Realizing that the man injecting her with the lethal IV is the one who killed Christian Peyrac, she starts screaming and tries to stop him. in vain When Romain puts his hand in front of his mouth, Helen still manages to pull the catheter out of the IV and bites him viciously.
Alerted by the screams, Thierry enters the room to find Romain trying to suffocate Helen with a pillow. After that, the policeman threatens him with a gun and then orders him not to move. However, Roman managed to disarm him and escape. Thierry runs after him, but unfortunately loses track.
At the same time, Lorin comes into Helen’s room and tells her that she recognized the person who shot her. The young woman tries to reassure him, assuring him that he is safe now.
Moments later, Thierry returns to Helen’s room to question her. Therefore, the latter explains that he did not kill Christian Peyrac, but Romain. He then tells her everything that happened. A discussion that didn’t escape Lauryn, who can’t believe the man she loves could do such a thing. When the policeman asked if she knew the carer well, the young woman replied that they were going together before giving the address of the hotel where he was staying.
Meanwhile, Elise and Ian arrive at the hotel, but Romain has already escaped. So they started searching.
The next day, Laurin is interrogated by Lt. Cross. The latter explains that Roman managed to convince him to let Helen enter the room because he made her believe that he was an undercover journalist writing an article on the Peyrac case. In front of the policeman’s questions, he claims that he does not know where he is. If that was the case, he swears he would have told her.
At the hospital, Claire and Helen are at Helen’s bedside. After telling her how troubled she was by what happened to her, Janet informed her that the security outside her room had been beefed up. Helen then thanks her former colleagues for watching her. He then confides in them his relief at finally learning the truth about Christian’s death. It must be said that Helen finally believed that he was the one who killed her. In turn, Janet assures him that she is not the killer.
Not far from there, Lorin finds Boris on the beach. In fact, the young woman is terribly angry with herself for being so deceived and sees herself as a poor girl who has been deceived. Boris tries to calm her down, but Lorin collapses in her brother’s arms.
At the end of the day, Ian, Cecile and Becker evaluate Peyrac’s work. Since the identity of the killer is no longer in doubt, Judge Alfandi decides to drop the indictment against Elena. He then pressures the police to find Romain as quickly as possible.
William’s appeal was denied
In the morning, Prosecutor Bernier and his deputy Michel Picard evaluate the current cases. After discussing the investigation into Christian Peyrac’s murder, the two men discuss William’s complaint against Fertilizer Plus. As he considers the case to be too light, the prosecutor decides to close the case without further action.
Alerted by Commissioner Becker, Claudine calls Prosecutor Bernier. And suffice it to say, the lawyer is outraged that the complaint has ended up without action. Although he understands her displeasure, the prosecutor reminds her that it is she who decides whether a complaint is worth investigating. In this case, William’s complaint does not deserve to mobilize the police. Claudine insists that, no matter what, Bernier stands by his positions. According to him, dozens of complaints that are on his desk deserve urgent investigation. Annoyed, Claudine promises her client won’t stop there before hanging up.
At the farm, William tells Ludo and Elodie some bad news. However, the latter are not going to give up and are going to continue the fight.
Not far from there, Patrice Bienvenue, CEO of Engrais Plus, and Prosecutor Bernier dine at Les Sauvages. Even if the case is officially closed, it does not mean that environmentalists will stop protesting. But Mr. Bienvenu is still relieved because he believes that he has nothing to blame.
In turn, Mark wants to get interviews with all parties for regular publications. Chemist, ecologists, Dr. Cresson and Patrice Bienvenue. Midi Libre’s editor-in-chief gives it the green light.
In the evening Elodi is having dinner in her room. Happy to see her again, the young woman offers Ellis a ride back. So the two women arrange a meeting the next day at the farm.
