Emma Stone says she will no longer make jokes about Taylor Swift

Emma Stone no longer intends to joke publicly about Taylor Swiftwho is her friend, after a joke with the singer, at this year’s Golden Globes, was taken out of context and caused discomfort among the blonde’s fans.

At the time, during a press conference, the actress was asked what she thought of Swift celebrating her win in the Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy category for her role in Poor Creaturesmost recent feature by Yorgos Lanthimos (The favorite): “What an idiot, right?”would have responded stone.

Despite the obvious joke, the comment did not go down well with fans of Swift – who will release his 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Departmentin April – and this caused stone rethink the jokes made publicly with her friend:

“I definitely won’t make a joke like that again because I saw the headlines that really took it out of context.”declared to Varietyrecently.

At the time, which ended up generating controversy, stone not only played with her friend, but also praised Swiftand celebrated the nomination of the concert film Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour to the award and the two decades of friendship between the two:
