Barbie and Oppenheimer are nominated for WGA 2024; see list

On Wednesday (21st) the Hollywood Screenwriters Union announced the candidates for the , an award that recognizes the best screenplays and films produced for TV and cinema. Among the names there are Oppenheimer, which competes for the trophy for best adapted screenplay, e Barbiecompeting for Best Original Screenplay.

Oppenheimer was the big winner of the biggest film awards. Christopher Nolan’s film is already collecting statuettes, with major awards in , AND – now he is waiting for the ceremony and, of course, the .

Already Barbie hasn’t mirrored its box office success at the awards, although it’s also receiving plenty of nominations. At the BAFTAs, for example, considered the Oscars of the United Kingdom, the production received five recommendations, but did not win in a single category.
