Marvel confirms that Wolverine and Deadpool can kill everyone

Wolverine and Deadpool are two of Marvel’s deadliest characters, and the publisher itself confirms that they can kill all of its heroes

TO wonder In comics there are hundreds of heroes and villains with powers that make them divine: just look closely at superbeings like Hulk, Thor or Storm to notice that their abilities are even capable of distorting reality on Earth.

But, even more banal, both Wolverine and Deadpool are known as killing machines and, in the ideal context, both could kill all the icons of the Marvel Universe, according to Casa das Ideias itself.

In fact, this has already happened in comics published by Marvel: in dark realities, such as the world of Old Man Logan, all of Earth’s greatest heroes were killed by Deadpool and Wolverine. The plot, originally appearing in the arc shown in the editions of Wolverine #66 THE #72in 2008, the story portrays all the villains of the United States joining forces to take down the main defenders of our planet.

Since each hero has dozens of enemies, this gives the villains overwhelming strength, pooling their resources and attacking in massive, brutal ways. Wolverine violently kills a group of criminals who attack the X-Men mansion, however, the story later reveals that this is an illusion created by Spider-Man villain Mysterio. In reality, the Canadian mutant was driven to kill his teammates.

Years later, in Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe again, released in 2017, the comic shows that Logan isn’t the only hero manipulated into killing his colleagues. The miniseries sees Deadpool slaughter Marvel heroes, and this is later revealed to be the result of brainwashing by the Red Skull.

Although Wolverine does not learn that Deadpool killed all the heroes, Wade Wilson must deal with the consequences of Logan using his claws to kill the X-Men. This makes the loud-mouthed mercenary realize that he isn’t the only one being manipulated by the bad guys; but, due to brainwashing, he unfortunately is unable to warn anyone of this discovery.

Both later attempted to make amends for their actions, without success, and had to live with the guilt of hundreds of murders of heroes, colleagues, friends and icons. And, while neither has god-like powers like Thor or the force of nature of Hulk’s fists, Marvel has made it clear that if both are determined, they can destroy anyone on Earth.
