Cristiana Oliveira talks about what it was like dating Rafael Ilha and how she dealt with her cocaine addiction

In a podcast interview, Cristiana Oliveira he remembered what the relationship with the former Polegar was like Raffaele Ilha and how he dealt with his cocaine addiction. They dated in the ’90s, when she was 26 and he was 17.

“He had a problem with cocaine. In fact, many people thought that I led Rafael to this (to drugs). And I’ve never snorted cocaine in my life. Never. I already had a career ahead of me and I never tried,” he said in a podcast interview Intelligence Ltd.

According to the actress, she discovered her addiction only after a while and tried to help him. “I helped her, I went to the clinics, I became a mother to her a little. She was a partner and a mother. I wanted to help him get better. But I had no idea that cocaine addiction was irreversible. I remember that I went to visit him in different clinics, even when I was with Fábio Assunção, ”she recalled.

Cristiana also commented that despite the criticism she received about dating and the age difference, she deals with the past well.

“I resolved the issue very well. People need this to be able to criticize. This one is already 35 years old. […] And then people said: ‘This woman must be crazy, sick in the head’. They said, “Because I, being a beautiful, famous, rich woman, am dating a guy from Thumb, who had fans who hated me.” He was shorter than me, thin. It wasn’t love, it was passion. People are still prejudiced against it,” the actress said.

According to Cristiana, at the time, she had hidden the relationship for a while, but she was in love with him. “It was all really crazy: at the height of my career, I was in love with a boy nine years younger than me. […] I was in love with him. If there had been the internet at that time, I would have been erased. […] To me he was a man,” she said.

“Adolescence was that time when I gained a lot of weight. So, that period from adolescence to adulthood, there was that void, which I didn’t experience, because I was rejected for being fat. It was a bit like I was frozen in time. When I fell in love with Rafael, it was as if that 17-year-old girl was in love with someone the same age as her,” Cristiana explained.
