Here it all begins: Iris admits the real reason for coming to the Institute

Iris only has a few weeks left to live!

Indeed, in this episode, we see that Jasmine (Zoe Severin) can’t understand why Iris (Julie Dray) hasn’t told her kids that she’s sick and lets her know. The oenology professor explains to him that he hasn’t found the perfect time to talk to them yet. Jasmine doubts that this is the right time to announce such news.

At the end of class, Iris musters up the courage to ask Jim (Len Beckmont) to talk to her aside. He then tells her that a few months ago he was diagnosed with severe liver failure, to the point where his liver no longer functions properly. He only had a few weeks left to live. Iris then apologizes to her son for not spending more time with her and her brother. Jimmy then hugs his mother and promises to do whatever it takes to bring Thibault (Félix Paco) home.

Only one of Iris’s sons can save her!

For this, Jimmy counts on the help of his father, whom he trusts. However, Mark (Stefan Blancafort) is suspicious and remains suspicious. For him, his ex-wife often lied to him throughout his life in order to get what he wanted. Therefore, he believes that nothing convinces him that this is not another manipulation on his part, this time to ensure that their children will agree to contact him. Jasmine and Constance (Sabine Perrault) protect Iris, but to no avail: Mark doesn’t believe her.

At the end of the episode, Iris confides in her friend and sister-in-law that she wasn’t being entirely honest with them and that she was actually hired by the Institute to be behind the idea. Thibault and Jimmy’s mother explain to them that he is doomed if he doesn’t get the transplant. However, only Thibault is a compatible donor.
