For those who couldn’t verify it Wonkaprequel film The fantastic chocolate factory, in theaters, the wait is over. The production with Timothée Chalamet has an official date to arrive at Max (formerly HBO Max): the film will be in the catalog on March 8th.
Although the 1971 film did not achieve great financial success, the film received Oscar nominations and quickly became popular.
The arrival of the 2005 remake, directed by none other than Tim Burton, consolidated the success of the franchise by earning more than $450 million and finally taking home an Oscar. The remake also awarded Depp the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Comedy or Musical.
In addition to Chalamet, Wonka presents Hugh Grant (Bridget Jones’s Diarys), Sally Hawkins (The shape of water), Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), Olivia Colman (A favoritea), Jim Carter (Downton Abbey), Matthew Baynton (Ghosts), Simon Farnaby (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (Paddington2), Keegan-Michael Key (Schmigadoon), Matt Lucas (Doctor who), Natasha Rothwell (The White Lotus) and Rakhee Thakrar (Sex education).
