Here’s where it all starts: “We’re going to find out something unexpected about Constance”… producer announcements about ending the intrigue surrounding Iris.

Will Iris die? Or will Thibaut, her youngest son, agree to clean up the past and part of his liver to save him? These questions are currently teasing Here It All Begins fans, who will become in a few days the conclusion of this great family intrigue, rich in mystery, centered on the return of Iris (Julie Dray) and the shared past that binds the Leros and the Leros. Teysiers.

While it all kicks off here season four still has plenty of surprises in store for us in the coming weeks and months, including an arch event filmed in Brittany, Eglantine Sofianos, artistic producer of the TF1 soap opera, brings us back to the events. Major events from the past months, including Carla, Rose and Berenice announcements, but also several cast departures.

and told us a little more about what to expect in the next episodes, which promise to shake up Emmanuel and Constance, the flagship couple played by Benjamin Barochet and Sabine Perrault.

AlloCiné: At the midway point, as this is where the feature production begins, what is your initial assessment of the fourth season?

Eglantine Sofianos: This is a season that we managed to balance well, in the sense that the new characters came in quite smoothly. Often associated with historical figures. The revelations happened gradually.

So for me, this is a successful season in terms of character integration, even though we know it’s a challenge every year. How do we get the public to support characters we don’t know yet when the audience already has their favorites from previous promotions. And how we can ensure that certain departures are offset by new faces in a “non-violent” way. And that we manage to create surprises with new archetypes, new stories.

We also created two new pairs. Karla-Berenica, who is new, is worth noting. Everything starts here. This is the couple that I think the public has been waiting for, even if it was unexpected at first and we as viewers couldn’t have predicted it. We are delighted with the effect this couple has had on the community. And, of course, there’s the Jim-Jasmine pairing we’ve been waiting for for a long time, and which we’ll be following up on in the coming weeks.

Is there a particular scenario you would prefer once the school year starts in September?

As for the social issues we could tackle from September, I’m very proud of the “Good Education” arc centered around David (Liam Helman), Lisandro (Agustín Galliana) and Duchesne. We are dealing with a social subject related to the room and violence that we can imagine in the kitchen as well. But it was interesting to be interested in the world of the room.

We tell ourselves that David, because of his size and build, isn’t going to let it happen, and we see how it can affect even a character we might have thought was immune to it, and we don’t believe it. did not expect This is a plot that we spun later and are going to spin again. Beyond David’s trauma, we saw his alcoholism for several weeks. In that sense, this arc really succeeds because it has repercussions for the sequel.

We had a feeling you already told us all about Armand’s clan, Louis or even Axel’s secret paternity. And finally a new secret is discovered and the institution is shaken: Carla is Rose’s daughter. Bringing back Rose’s trauma, but also her desire to have a child, is this what the writers had in mind from the start of the series?

Yes, we’ve been talking about this since the beginning of the series. We talked about the loss of her son, her toxic relationship with Rafael, the desire to be a mother inside her. Because when Jasmine (Zoe Severin) arrived at the institute with her son, Rose (Vanessa DeMoy) took her under her wing. She definitely has that motherly side to her.

And it was important for us to find a family for him, because he is a little different in the Armani family. Compared to Clotilda (Elsa Lungini), who had a child, a husband, then a new partner. After breaking up with Antoine (Frederic Diefenthal), we wanted to find a new balance for Rose, even if that connection continues with Suleiman (Dembo Camillo), whom she considers almost her own son.

It was important to develop around a character of Rose that we really like and wanted to highlight. And that gave us a chance to weaken him before we could see him emerge stronger from it all. And despite everything, she is still in a delicate balance with her daughter. He needs to find his place and needs Carla (Aaricia Lemer) to accept him as a mother.

How will this mother-daughter relationship develop?

We want to see how their relationship develops, so obviously that’s something that’s going to continue and we’re going to use it. And why not use the relationship they will have against the relationship Carla might have with her “adoptive” parents.

Recently, you also surprised everyone by revealing that Berenica was in love with Carla. Is that something you had in mind after this summer with the authors?

Yes, we wanted to do that. But we are still waiting for the casting. We didn’t necessarily sell it to the two actors from the beginning. We talked to them about it along the way because we had to see if there was chemistry between them, if it could work. So we kept it in our mind. And when we saw them at work and saw how well their friendship worked, we said to ourselves, “Here we go.” They are really great. And the actors were clearly up for it.

One of the other strengths of this Season 4 is the integration of the Leroy family, which holds many mysteries and untold secrets, and which is also connected to the Teyssier family. How did you come up with the idea for the current storyline, which revolves around Iris’ return, her relationship with her children and Tessier in the past?

This whole story surrounding Iris and Leroy’s past was wrapped up this summer. With Jimmy’s misfortune, which stems from the fact that his mother put him up, that he was always missing, that he abandoned him because of it. He was totally against his mother, he was always more on his father’s side. We played a lot on this imbalance between the two brothers in relation to their parents, and it was important for us to embody that mother.

Especially since the arrival of Iris shook many things in the institute. Because this story is also about Teissier and Constance, not just Jim, Thibaut and Leroy. There will be electricity between Teysier and Constance. Passing through Iris will not be trivial, it will leave a mark.

Will Constance discover that her husband is madly in love with Iris?

Chances are, of course. But first of all we will learn about Constance, which will be completely unexpected.

Could the announcement of Iris’s illness have the effect of patching things up between her and her children? Or even between Mark and Iris?

Yes, definitely. The fact that he is in danger of death shapes the situation to a certain extent and has a great impact on all members of the family. We will learn the motivation behind Iris’ return to the Institute. We will focus on the relationship that Jim and Thibaut have with their mother and Leros.

The conclusion of this arc will focus on the Leroy family and how this disease affects their relationship. This will help them find some balance without reforming the family. He is going to reshuffle the cards, erase some of the past.

Will we learn more secrets? Hidden connections between the Teysiers and the Leroys? hidden children?

No, there won’t be another story about hidden children at this time (laughs). We have already said a lot about this, it is not on the agenda. But we’re already thinking about Season 5, ways to connect the new characters with the old characters. So there will be new things, but not necessarily hidden children (laughs).

then Thomas and CostaAgustin Galiana and Rick Cleveit’s time Kathy Pakianathan to leave the series at the beginning of March. Was it a surprise? How do you cope with all these departures?

We experience them a little as a reflection of the life of the Institute. It is not easy to manage departures, because we have to write plots around them, it is not always pleasant. But this is quite logical in the life of the institute, this school.

Students go to be chefs elsewhere, they have opportunities. They are going to fly themselves. This is encouraging, confirming that the institute is training them and that they are coming out of those years spent at the Auguste Armani Institute. And given that we introduce new characters every year for new promotions, it ends up being a natural upgrade.

Do you already know if there will be a 1000th episode that will air around the end of summer? Is it possible to bring back Clement Remien or other actors who left the series?

We want to do something special, but we don’t have an idea yet. But obviously we want to celebrate, celebrate the occasion, because 1000 episodes is nothing. But it is too early to talk about it, we are thinking about it. We’ll have to see what we can do about the arc this episode will fall into. There are many parameters to consider. Nothing has been determined at this time regarding a possible return.
