Despite losing space in American theaters – the Sony film fell to fourth place in the United States this week – Madame Teia has managed to remain at the top of Brazil’s highest grossing list. Between the 22nd and 25th, the film grossed R$4.47 million.

The event is surprising, as the film remained at the top of the chart despite competing with major films such as Ferrari, The Boy and the Crane and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba.

Three highly anticipated feature films premiered this weekend. The Boy and the Crane, by Studio Ghibli, is the latest animated film by Hayao Miyazaki, which arrived in Brazilian cinemas on the 22nd. The work ranked in sixth place, grossing R$ 1.75 million on its debut .

On the same day, the Ferrari biopic made its debut and secured fifth place, earning R$2.1 million. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Hashira Training was also released on the same day and came in fourth on the charts, earning R$2.71 million.
