The veteran presenter’s auditorium program will be presented on Saturdays between 12pm and 2pm, with no obligation to be shown in other states
SBT published this Thursday (29/1) its new schedule, which attracted attention due to the relegation of Raul Gil. The veteran presenter, who used to host his show at 5.30pm, will now do his program from 12pm to 2pm, on Saturdays.
The change wasn’t just about the program. In practice, this means that the “Raul Gil Program” will no longer have a national reach, as it is common for affiliates from other states to display their content during this specific period.
In a statement, the broadcaster’s press office confirmed the new status. “Raul Gil will not be present in all locations. Some affiliates will show him, but others will not. He will be at a different time due to the new schedule,” Comunicação said.
New grid
Raul Gil will air between the new program “Luccas Toon”, a children’s attraction hosted by YouTuber Luccas Neto, and a double session of “Cinema em Casa”, featuring old films on TV.
On X (formerly Twitter), Internet users echoed the change. “Not that I like Raul Gil, but what’s the point of two movie sessions in a row and abandoning the program of the local auditorium?”, asked one Internet user.
Of note, there will also be another cinema session during the night on Saturday, in addition to the presentation of “Circo do Tiru”, a new program from Tirullipa, and “Esquadrão da Moda”, with Lucas Anderi and Renata Kuerten.
