Blanca on M6: Will there be a 3rd season for the series with Maria Chiara Gianetta?

M6 will broadcast the final four episodes of Season 2 of Blanca this Saturday 2nd March at 9.10pm. In this climactic finale, Blanca (Maria Chiara Gianetta) meets the Polybomber, a character inspired by a terrifying true story.

After the events of the previous episodes, the stakes are now higher than ever for the personal consultant, who begins a race against time. For his part, Liguori (Giuseppe Zeno) has to decide whether to continue his relationship with Veronica (Chiara Bassetti) or to listen to his attraction to Blanca.

Will there be 3 seasons?

Good news for Blanca fans, the detective series has indeed been renewed for a 3rd season. Season 2 was indeed a huge success in Italy, prompting the Italian channel Rai to order additional episodes.

However, you will have to be patient to discover the rest of Blanca’s adventures. According to the screenwriter of the detective series, Francesco Arlanchi, filming will not begin until the end of 2024, in order to move to the fall of 2025.

As for what awaits the investigators in this new season, the screenwriter was cryptic. “There are areas of work, but I can’t say much about them.“- he explained to us colleagues Italians.

“We want to find something as surprising as the first two seasons. It is a multi-step process, many ingredients are combined, you just need to find the right sequence. There is still much to do.”

A mixed French audience

If Blanca is a great success in Italy, the finale of the second season managed to attract more than 4 million viewers, in France, the detective series is struggling to find its audience. In front of a mixed audience of new, unreleased episodes, M6 did indeed make a radical decision by speeding up the broadcast.

Instead of two new episodes per night, four episodes are now offered every Saturday night. Will this declining audience affect the French broadcast of Blanca Season 3? The answer is in 2025.
