“Elegant, Masterful”: Rating 4.2 out of 5… Until Dune 2, this was Zendaya’s best film

“This is just the beginning”Zendaya said in one of Dune’s final lines, while her character Chan finally made an appearance… better to set us up for the sequel. A few months later, the actor destroyed the global box office opposite Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield in Spider-Man: No Way Home, before shining in the second season of Euphoria.

And here he is again in the sand of the dune. Much more present than in the first part (which is not too difficult), and even central to the journey of Paul Atreides (Timothee Chalamet) at the heart of Denis Villeneuve’s second film, based on the Frank Herbert classic. As for Timothée Chalamet, it’s Dune, first name. which receives the same average as The Greatest Showman, 4.2 out of 5, in the actor’s filmography. But with more ratings (25,830 compared to 11,139 for the Hugh Jackman musical), giving it the lead.

The latter may also return in Dune 2, which starts off very strong (4.5 out of 5*), but we should still give it a few days for the average to stabilize. And, meanwhile, this is the first part that leads to the dance.

Out of 2,141 reviews posted on AlloCiné since the feature film’s release in September 2021, 753 give it a 4.5 or 5 out of 5.
