As with most films, not all scenes recorded make it to the final stage. One of those sequences recently went viral as fans of the JK Rowling-created epic complained that it wouldn’t make it to the big screen.

The sixth “Harry Potter” film serves as a gateway to the dark atmosphere that was fully presented in the last films of the franchise, marked by the return of Lord Voldemort and his army of minions who seek absolute control of the world.
Let’s remember that at the end of ‘The Half-Blood Prince’, the Death Eaters are preparing to break the protective shield and gain access to Hogwarts. In the series, the sky invades the dark mark, but thanks to the film’s extra footage we know that this effect could have been more shocking with a deleted scene.
In the sequence that was left out of the final cut of the film, the student choir led by Professor Flitwick is seen singing “In Noctem”, a song composed by Nicolas Hopper that is part of the soundtrack.
While we hear the background tune, other characters from the franchise appear briefly inside the Hogwarts castle, such as Snape’s reaction, Professor McGonagall and Draco Malfoy, who will allow Bellatrix and the Death Eaters to enter the school of magic and of magic.
As if that wasn’t enough, we also see Ron and Hermione looking up at the sky, a serious pose after what’s about to happen.
Why was the chorus scene removed from the final version of ‘Harry Potter 6’?
According to the “Fatogramas” portal, the sequence was dropped from the final version because it foreshadows many events in the following films.
After the Death Eaters arrive at Hogwarts, Snape, seen in the previous sequel with a worried expression, murders Dumbledore in the astronomy tower after Malfoy failed. Although he leads us to believe that he belongs to Voldemort’s side, in the end we find out that the opposite is true.
Apart from giving spoilers about what was going to happen in the saga, the song’s tempo could also be unappealing to close the film, although many of the fans complained about it on social networks as they felt it was the ending, perfect for the movie that got a lot of hate upon its release for omitting several important moments from the book.
The clip also served to revive the saga’s best director debate, citing Mexican Alfonso Cuarón, while other X users complained about the love drama taking up most of the screen time.
