After Walker’s explosive finale, the EP teases Jared Padalecki’s Cordell Fate in Season 3

Spoiler ahead of the season two finale of Walker“Something is missing, something is missing”.

The CW Season 2 Walker came to an end and the explosive finale ended on a massive cliffhanger. After all that was said and done between the Walkers and the Davidsons, everything seemed fine in the world. But Jared Padalecki’s Cordell (again) found himself in danger during the final moments of the episode. Now, executive producer and showrunner Anna Fricke is mocking the character’s fate in the upcoming third season.

At the end of the episode, “Something’s Missing”, Cordell, Liam and Trey were running, with the main character taking off first. After Liam and Trey met Stella, who was wondering where her father was, they began to suspect that something was wrong. The show then stopped on a pulling white van, and there was a very unconscious Cordell, who was tied up in the back. Anna Fricke discussed the surprise cliffhanger with television line And while he didn’t tease what exactly Season 3 has in store, it seems to suggest that Cordell’s situation may be hinging on his own actions:

It’s something we’re obviously exploring in Season 3, and our writers’ room is up and running, so we’re discussing it. I will say that Cordell got too close to something in his investigation and something unexpected from his past may come back to haunt him.

Cordell has already been through a lot in the past two seasons, from the death of his wife to the loss of his partner (due to Lindsey Morgan’s departure in Season 2) and his family’s ranch, among other things. It’s clear the writers aren’t holding back and are really trying to put it to the test. It’s bittersweet, since I and many others love the character, but it’s a good story. More immediately, however, I am curious to know who took the father of the family and why.

Also, with Cordell gone, one wonders how the Walkers might react. After all, such a development will have a huge impact on them. The Texas Ranger has already passed away in the first season and was mentioned by Anna Fricke when she discussed this new development. From your comments, it appears the puppy’s reactions will be different this time:

This is how we met Cordell and his family in the first season, [with] Walker is missing and manages the journey home in the show’s first season, but everyone around him has grown a lot and may have a different reaction to his absence right now. So we’re going to see the characters react differently and maybe grow up in ways they didn’t expect.

One thing that makes this show so it’s great that the characters are close. The Walkers and their friends have practically created a big family at this point. I’m sure the people close to Cordell will be worried but, as the producer said, times change and so do people. However, I still hope that at least some of the characters will go to great lengths to get the man back.

It’s still unclear how long this kidnapping storyline will last once season 3 returns, but it’s possible it will continue for at least a few episodes. It’s the kind of drama you’d expect from one of the best shows on the CW. Of course, Jared Padalecki’s Cordell Walker will eventually return, but what it takes to save him is enough to worry any viewer. Hoping that Anna Fricke and company. don’t give us a seriously tragic resolution to this story arc.

Walker The third season will air this fall on The CW and will be accompanied by the new prequel series. Walker: Independence. While you wait for the shows, check out the Gossipify 2022 TV show for more things to watch in the meantime.
