You probably don’t know this movie, and for good reason: it’s nowhere to be seen except on imported DVDs! However, starring Chadwick Boseman, The Kill Hole has never been released in France and is not hosted on any streaming site.
Boseman plays Lt. Samuel Drake, an Iraq war veteran traumatized by what he saw there, who is asked to track Sergeant Devon Carter, who is isolated in Canada’s Pacific Northwest region to prepare an attack against the government.

The Kill Hole is Mischa Whaley’s first and only feature film, and he has since returned to short films. It has the distinction of being Chadwick Boseman’s second film and the first to star him. In 2013, the actor had yet to film 42 and Get On Up, which would have catapulted him into the limelight.
We also find Tory Kittles from the Equalizer series, but also Billy Zane from Back to the Future and Titanic and Peter Green, the villain from The Mask.
Due to the lack of data on AlloCiné related to the non-distribution of the film in French territory, a look at Rotten Tomatoes shows that the film was not well received by either the public or critics. The film has a press satisfaction rating of 25% and an audience rating of 26%. On Metacritic, the score returns to 39, but shows unfavorable reviews.

Tory Kittles
Even if unseen and clearly not a masterpiece, it’s good to know that this film, which recalls the atmosphere of Rambo 2, exists to help give the late Chadwick Boseman a chance. When will there be a French release?
