Nicole Kidman’s first major role was in The BMX Gang, a color film released in 1983 and directed by Australian Brian Trenchard-Smith. The latter is best known for making The Hunt in 2000, and it was his work on that film that convinced the producers to give him the reins of BMX Gang, or BMX Bandits in the original language.
Nicole Kidman Rebel and Stuntman

Technically, BMX Bandits is the second film directed by Nicole Kidman, who previously starred in French Henri Safran’s family drama Bush Christmas, and both films were released in December 1983.

Nicole Kidman in the movie “Bush Christmas”
A Bush Christmas is a remake of the 1947 film of the same name, which tells the story of how the children of the Thompson family decide to go in search of a missing horse, which they must compete to win the prize and save the farm. Nicole Kidman stars as Helen, the eldest child, in a family Christmas story worthy of a Disney feature film.
If Bush’s Christmas is rather difficult to watch (his presence on YouTube is poor), Le Gang des BMX was released in a very nice copy by Elephant last November.
