Furies on Netflix: Will there be a Season 2 for the series with Marina Foy?

Warning, the following paragraphs contain spoilers for the Furies season 1 finale. If you don’t want to know anything, move on!

On Friday, March 1, Netflix released the first season of the new French series Furies on the platform. For 8 episodes, subscribers followed the adventures of Lina (Lina El Arabi), a student seeking revenge after her father’s murder.

He then finds himself in the web of fury (Marina Foys), a woman responsible for keeping the peace between the various clans of the Paris underworld.

The end of Furies Season 1 leaves the door open for a second burst of episodes. A conspiracy led by Driss (Matthew Kasowitz) ends badly, the latter being killed by Selma, his sister.

Lina, on the other hand, is now on the run and has no choice but to join Fury permanently. The two women then go to Olympus to convince them to break the contract they placed upon themselves.

Arriving at the council chamber, they are surprised to find that the heads of the family have been shot. Surrounded by men armed to the teeth, they come face to face with an individual who asks them to swear an oath of allegiance. This newcomer is none other than the leader of the Damocles group, who is determined to rule Olympus.

Will Fury agree to follow the orders of the same person? In turn, will Lina manage to find her mother? Only season 2 of Furies will be able to answer all these questions.

Season 2 for Furies?

In just a few days, the fiction created by Jean-Yves Arnaud and Yoann Legave managed to reach the top of the most watched series on the French platform. A success that has also been seen internationally as Furies ranked second in the world’s top 10 non-English language series within its first three days of run.

While Netflix has yet to confirm that Furies has been renewed for a second season, these very good figures suggest a bright future for the series. Whether this trend will continue in the coming days remains to be seen. To be continued…
