That said, HouseGuest winner Ian Terry from season 14 and season 22 doesn’t seem to want to tune in for season 24, especially after admitting he didn’t like watching her anymore.
Ian Terry, whose season 14 win over former champion Dan Gheesling is one of his most memorable turns Older brotheri am talking with uh on a wide variety of gaming-related topics. When asked about Diary Room’s filming sessions, Terry revealed his aversion to the modern style of the game, noting that Diary Room plays a big part in this:
I’ll be honest: I’m not a modern Big Brother fan, and that has a lot to do with Diary Room sessions. Nothing beats that organic feel of early seasons’ Diary Room sessions. Personally, I’m very verbose, so capturing my thoughts in a quick, easy-to-digest commentary will never give a full explanation. This leaves viewers the ability to connect the dots themselves, often incorrectly. That said, they are probably in the minority here given the typical attention span of the viewer. The Diary Room production team is very professional and puts on a good show for their audience.
Sessions in the diary room have long been a hot topic Older brother online discussions and are known as a huge difference between the older and newer seasons of the series. In the past, editorial sessions were more about capturing HouseGuest’s train of thought and giving them the opportunity to talk about their strategy to the TV audience. In more recent seasons, the sessions act more like additional information to serve up episode scenes, make things work, and they’re not that deep.
Ian Terry is not a fan of the modern. Older brother, which is pretty funny considering he only returned to racing two seasons ago. When asked if he still watches the show, even though he doesn’t like him, Terry gave an honest answer and talked about his past experiences trying to stay in the game:
Not me. Too different from the show I grew up with. BB19 was the last straw for me: I pulled the plug a few weeks later, watched the end and never saw another episode. I wasn’t planning on watching Celebrity next season, but I did when I was asked to be interviewed on stage with a handful of other winners. I thought maybe I would try BB20, but I read it and wasn’t very keen on it so I gave it a try. I also gave up on Survivor after the latest surprise four-burner twist was introduced (no problem with the fire, the problem is it was a surprise). I guess I just got out of the genre completely.
Ian Terry is not the first Older brother HouseGuest to say it I will not watch the show again , but he is certainly one of the few winners to openly express that he thinks the show is not what it used to be. Not sure I use a Paramount + subscription a check live streams or tweet your thoughts on HouseGuests unless something about the current season drastically changes your thoughts on listening.
At the moment, there isn’t much information on what to expect from season 24, so there’s a chance that whatever is planned is exactly what it needs to make its return. That said, it looks like Ian Terry may be completely exhausted on reality TV, which could explain his performance in season 22.
