The success of the Harry Potter book and movie has led fans to create theories about it, such as the Sorting Hat being able to see the future. Something that has gone viral and is sensationalizing many is George Weasley becoming the famous Willy Wonka, specifically the version seen in the 1971 movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The theory linking George Weasley to Willy Wonka: from the magical world to the candy world
The theory goes that after the magical war of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, although the Death Eaters were defeated, different deaths occurred on the side of the “good” and one of the most painful was that of Fred Weasley.
George Weasley’s twin was devastated by this event, causing him to move to the Muggle world and adopt a new identity, that of Willy Wonka. In fact, he brought with him the popular products from the Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes, which he had opened next to Fred in Diagon Alley.
So he decided to build his factory to continue creating sweets with the help of magic, which would explain why Willy Wonka’s sweets would be so special.
What also stands out from the theory is that the chances of them being the same person are that they have very similar physical characteristics, are creative inventors and love jokes. Wonka could very well be a future redheaded version of Weasley just wearing a hat and a purple suit.
Something interesting is that in the seventies film the chocolatier mentions that he is a little deaf in one ear, which is linked to the fact that George Weasley lost an ear in the battle against Voldemort and therefore the ability to hear. It was even added that surely to hide the fact that he has no ear, he was able to create a kind of prosthesis himself, which actually makes sense.
Another fact that could confirm the approach is that the Oompa Loompas have no sense of existence in Wonka’s factory and their origin is questionable, but in the magical world they are not, since beings such as hippogriffs, goblins and other creatures live within “rarely”, that’s why George would have chosen them to help him.
Finally, it is noted that in the Willy Wonka film every object in the chocolate office is shown practically cut in half, which is not explained until connected to the fact that perhaps George considers himself half human without his twin.
