Emma Stone and George Lanthimos will reunite in a new film
Following their triumph at the 2024 Oscars with “Poor Things,” fans will be able to enjoy yet another collaboration between the duo.
“Kinds of Kindness” is the title of Emma Stone and George Lanthimos’ next film. For now, the plot is being kept secret and it is only known that it will be “anthological”.
The cast will bring back fellow “Poor Things” actors Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley, and is rounded out by the talents of Joe Alwyn, Jesse Plemons, Hong Chau and Hunter Schafer.
The movie ‘Kinds of Kindness’ will be released on June 21st (filmed in New Orleans in late 2022).
Although “Poor Things” is the topic of the moment, it should be remembered that Emma Stone and George Lanthimos had already shot the film “The Favorite” and the short “Bleat” together.
Given the cut that their previous collaborations have had, it wouldn’t be surprising if the next one has an over-the-top touch.
According to various media outlets, they are in talks for yet another joint project which would be an adaptation of the Korean film ‘Save the Green Planet’.
‘Eddington’ is the other film Emma Stone is working on
As of now, there are very few details about the film. It is known, for example, that this is an original story by Ari Aster, who will also be the director, and that the plot follows the sheriff of a small town in New Mexico who aspires for more.
Emma Stone isn’t the only major talent in the project. The cast of “Eddington” will consist of Joaquin Phoenix, Austin Butler and Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward and Clifton Collins Jr.
Photography will be by two-time Oscar nominee Darius Khondji.
The film ‘Eddington’ will be a collaboration between the production companies Square Peg and A24. Previously, they released ‘Hereditary’, ‘Midsommar’ and ‘Beau Is Afraid’ together.
The film has no release date yet.
