During an interview with Vulture, Boutella revealed how he found it quite difficult to deal with the film’s negative reception. “I always thought I was fully armed to face those blows, and then I read the criticism that came out of Rebel Moon and it really affected me,” she said.
I’ll be honest about this. I feel like I’m bringing this to everyone who cared so much about this project, and that’s what affected me. It’s not my appearance. I was actually very lucky and people liked my work, but the film was criticized.
“It really hit home for everyone who put so much heart, tears and sweat into this project,” he continued Sofia Boutella. “It’s difficult to see something being detonated like this.
