Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, confirmed cast list also includes Dua Lipa, Emma Mackey, Simu Li and more
The live-action “Barbie” starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling is putting the internet on edge. Filming has already started and it didn’t take long for some spoilers and lots of photos of the scenes shot in Los Angeles to start circulating.
The feature, out on July 21, 2023, will be the first live-action film of the famous Mattel doll. Directed by Greta Gerwig, the film will show when one of the dolls begins to realize that she doesn’t fit into “Barbieland” like the others.
The existential crisis will lead her to be expelled from that universe and to embark on an adventure in the “real world”.

In addition to Robbie, Issa Rae from “Insecure” and Hari Nef aka “You” will also appear as other versions of the character. Emma Mackey, of “Sex Education” was also confirmed in the film, but in a role yet to be revealed: one of the rumors is that she could be one of the three younger sisters of Barbie.
Ryan Gosling Ken
Ken will also have several actors. Simu Li, Marvel’s Shang-Chi, and Ncuti Gatwa, the new Doctor Who, are expected to play “variants” of the puppet.
