‘House of the Dragon’ has released its Season 2 trailer, and it’s asking fans to pick a side: green or black?

The story of House Targaryen continues. And the second season of ‘House of the Dragon’ promises more blood than ever. At least that’s what can be inferred from the two trailers HBO released to announce the series’ return.

“House of the Dragon” releases two trailers: the green side and the black side

Almost two years after the premiere of the “Game of Thrones” prequel, the first glimpses of the second part of the series have arrived.

On March 21st, HBO released not one, but two trailers for what’s to come next season. Each of the progressions is designed from the perspective of a Council: green, supporting Queen Alicent Hightower and King Aegon II Targaryen, and black, supporting Rhaenyra Targaryen taking the throne.

Although they show different scenes, one thing is clear: both sides will fight tooth and nail for power. And the fans will have to choose who to support from now on.

To be more precise, the second season of “House of the Dragon” will show the Dance of the Dragons, the event that George RR Martin narrates as the civil war between the Targaryens in the book “Fire & Blood”.

When does ‘House of the Dragon’ season two premiere?

On June 16, the continuation of the story of the Targaryen family will hit the screens. As is customary with HBO productions, a chapter will be released every Sunday, so fan excitement will continue for weeks to come.

How many episodes will ‘The House of the Dragon’ season 2 have?

The next season of “House of the Dragon” will have 8 episodes, according to “Deadline” reports.

This means it will be a bit shorter than the first installment, which had 10 chapters.

“House of the Dragon” season 2 will have new characters

The series trailers are only a few minutes long, but they were enough to introduce new faces like Cregan Stark (predecessor of Eddard Stark and Jon Snow), Gwayne Hightower (Alicent’s brother), Blood and Cheese (a duo who appears in George RR Martin’s books), as well as the dragons Harrenhal and Sunfyre.

“House of the Dragon” season 2 cast.

The next installment of the ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel will bring back much of the cast from the first installment. Such is the case of Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett or Bethany Antonia.

New talent in the series includes: Abubakar Salim, Gayle Rankin, Freddie Fox, Simon Russell Beale, Clinton Liberty, Jamie Kenna, Kieran Bew, Tom Bennett, Tom Taylor and Vincent Regan.
