Milk is a source of phosphorus and calcium, and is also necessary for the mineralization of bones and teeth, as well as tissue regeneration. On the other hand, we’re not entirely sure about the usefulness of the strange blue milk in the Star Wars universe that we got a small glimpse of in A New Hope. In one sequence, Mark Hamill poured a glass of this drink with his uncle Owen.
In fact, the liquid has become so popular that it’s even sold at Disneyland in the United States, along with the green milk that Luke drank in “The Last Jedi” after burning the nipple of a giant sea creature.
In 2019, the actor posted a photo of himself in the Galaxy’s Edge world expansion at Disneyland, holding a glass of blue milk.
“Note to self: don’t forget that we’re in the picture and that Disney is paying me” (and frankly: the blue-tinted milk in the movie, hot, greasy, and sweet, was vomit-inducing. Drink Fresh, lactose-free taste like a delicious fruit smoothie” he wrote.
“Note to self: remember you’re on camera and Disney is signing your paycheck.”
(Although, to be honest: the warm, greasy, sickly sweet milk that was dyed blue from the movie was kind of annoying 🤮 – while this frosty dairy-free drink tasted like a delicious fruit smoothie. 😋 #received blue milk? https://t.co/C4Qx1iFfMq— Mark Hamill (@MarkHamill) August 28, 2019
Star Wars Blue Milk in the fridges!
In an infernal galaxy of merchandising, Disney and Lucasfilm are set to launch blue milk bottles to line grocery store shelves, produced by the company TruMoo.
Yes, the proof is in the pictures:
But unlike the drink seen in the first Star Wars movie, this is real, flavored milk. “TruMoo Blue Milk is 1% skim milk and has a natural vanilla flavor and blue color for a delicious galactic experience your family will enjoy.” So says the press release announcing the upcoming arrival of this product.
Therefore, it is milk that has a vanilla flavor and is blue in color, rather than plain milk with blue food coloring.
This blue milk (but not too much) should hit shelves on April 17th. Well… we can always add it to the cart with Star Wars Salads, Star Wars Bananas, Star Wars Apples, Star Wars Paper Towel Rolls, and Star Wars Toilet Paper.
