A dump truck hit a beam and collapsed part of a footbridge at km 226.5 of Rodovia Anhanguera, in Porto Ferreira, in the hinterland St. Paulthis Monday 25th. The accident occurred around 10.45pm and, according to the firefighters, left no victims.

The compromised structure has been assessed by the concessionaire’s Engineering and Conservation teams and will also be subjected to a technical structural analysis. “Only once completed will it be possible to define the timetable for the reconstruction works,” the company explained.

The footbridge will remain closed until the works are completed and pedestrians are advised to use the footbridge at km 227 to ensure safe crossing.
