There is real chemistry between the three of you on the screen. How did your reunion go?
Martin Short: I think we had very good chemistry from the beginning, that’s how I felt. In the first season our first big scene together is in a restaurant. Everyone has managed to integrate perfectly into this sequence and we have continued this momentum.
Steve Martin: From the second season, I think we also had a real relationship, a friendship, much more relaxed like all the other trios, so it really worked.
Sting was one of your neighbors in the first season, Amy Schumer joined you this season. What other famous person would you like to be in Arconia?

Steve Martin: I would love to play Steven Spielberg in his own role. Charles and Oliver would be completely mad if Steven Spielberg came to Arconia. They were always coming up with new ideas for him!
What do you like most about your character?
Martin Short: His optimism! Oliver could have left the theater a few times due to failure, marriage, tension with his child, but he never did. He was optimistic and continues to believe that he can still achieve everything.
ენაElena Gomez: I love the balance that Mabel brings to the overall chaos. I find it very fun to play against these two challenging and funny characters, I like playing Mediator.
Steve Martin: Charles is a very shy and restrained man, but in the second season we see him get more out of his shell and more involved in the world around him, and these are fun things to play and observe in his character.
Only “Murders in the Building” refers to dark, sometimes tragic topics: murders, a poisoned animal, theft of a painting … and an ideal comedy! What is the most important ingredient for cooling the viewer in any situation?
Steve Martin: Surprise, I think, is important. It can be a line, a physical reaction, a scene twist, the arrival of an unexpected person … There are plenty of ways to do this, and Martin and I have been in this business for a long time: we all recognize these approaches when writing a screenplay.
