Warner promises to produce more than 10 anime per year

Warner Bros. Discovery plans to invest heavily in anime. The company’s president for the Asia-Pacific region, James Gibbons, said that more than 10 titles will be produced per year from now on. The company’s previous goal was to make five to ten productions per year.

The focus on this segment has a commercial explanation. According to Gibbons, anime is the best way to reach audiences between the ages of 18 and 30. He also pointed out that Warner Bros. Discovery has a strong audience for its animations in the United States, parts of Europe and Latin America.

The company’s studio responsible for this type of work was launched in 2011 and has already produced more than 80 titles. Among these there are JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Chronicle of Ragnarok AND SPY x FAMILY
