Millie Bobby Brown will be the star of the new science fiction Netflix

Actress Millie Bobby Brown will star in a new science fiction movie from Netflix, directed by the Russo brothers, called “The Electric State”.

Also, according to the report, Chris Pratt is said to be in talks to join the cast alongside Brown. The Hollywood reporter.

“The Electric State” is described as a retrofuturistic science fiction film that “follows an orphaned teenager (Brown) as she traverses the American West with a robot and an eccentric tramp looking for her little brother.”

The film will be based on an illustrated book of the same name by Simon Stålenhag, an acclaimed artist in the midst of retro-futuristic illustrations, with another book of his, “Tales from the Loop”, recently adapted into an Amazon series.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the reason Netflix accepted the project was the budget. Initially “The Electric State” would have been a Universal Pictures film, but the studio backed off due to the production value. With Netflix, the budget figure would be in excess of $ 200 million, THR says.

“The Electric State” will be directed by the Russo brothers, best known for their work in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame”. In addition to the duo, the film also has Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as screenwriters, who also worked on the last two “Avengers”.

Millie Bobby Brown is best known for her role as Eleven in “Stranger Things,” whose Season 4 volume 2 will premiere on Netflix on Friday, July 1, also on Netflix.
