Unsurprisingly, Gatwa and his sci-fi hit showrunner gave perfect answers.

Along with the photo, Gatwa shared an A + caption “Dolls Supporting Doctors” while showing her love for Gosling. A member of the paparazzi also snapped a photo of Ryan Gosling wearing the shirt with Ncuti Gatwa as the Doctor, attracting the attention of Doctor who executive producer Russell T. Davies. Davies shared the photo in question on his own instagram and in the caption that follows, he claimed that the shirt was not legitimate, before jokingly revealing that the BBC legal team had been told:

Ryan Gosling is unlikely to see any kind of penalty for his wardrobe choice, but I wouldn’t be surprised if this shirt magically disappeared from the internet now that one of Hollywood’s greatest actors showed it to fans. Of course, none of this would be a problem though Doctor who I already had the official Ncuti Gatwa Doctor merchandise. However, given that the show has yet to say goodbye to Jodie Whittaker’s character iteration, it’s understandable that such material isn’t available yet.
Ryan Gosling isn’t the only one excited about the British star’s upcoming season as The Doctor, as there are plenty of fans eager to see what the actor brings to the table. Plus, the anticipation only seems to grow as audiences learn new details about the upcoming 60th anniversary, which is currently in the process of filming.
However, we are still waiting to find out when and where Ncuti Gatwa will debut. Traditional logic dictates that Jodie Whittaker’s doctor regenerates in Gatwa’s, but the actor hasn’t appeared in any official photos.
