The option to protect conversations with a secret password on WhatsApp can be extended to devices connected to the same account
OR Whatsapp should expand the feature to protect conversations with a custom password to all devices connected to the same account. Currently only the primary mobile phone linked to the number can use the feature.
- WhatsApp will have a button to minimize the screen during calls
- WhatsApp gains the mode to fast forward and rewind videos
According to the WABetaInfo website, the new feature will be developed in the Android app. The user still needs the main mobile phone to set the password and can then use it on the secondary devices.
The expanded functionality helps fill a gap in Messenger: Since password protection only exists on the primary device, anyone can open a connected mobile phone and view the conversation without restrictions. Enforcing the password across all devices addresses this gap and prevents a chat that should be private from being exposed.

Password-protected conversations and connected mobile phones are two relatively recent features, launched by WhatsApp last year. In the first case, the Zap hides a chat when the person sets a secret code – I used to archive conversations in a separate folder.
The second option allows connect the same account on up to four different mobile phones, but only the primary device has access to more app tools. If this mobile phone remains inactive for 14 consecutive days, the app removes access from other connected devices.
Still in development
The application is still preparing the change, so it may take some time to reach the stable version, available to everyone. In the meantime, you can try some methods to make WhatsApp more secure and secure your conversations there.
