Boys Mourning: Gen V Season 2 goes on hiatus following Chance Perdomo’s disappearance

While production on Season 2 of Gen V was set to begin in a few days, the teams behind the bloody and parodic fantasy of the superhero genre were faced with some terrible news.

Chance Perdomo, one of the lead actors of Gen V, tragically passed away this Saturday, March 30th in a motorcycle accident. The 27-year-old actor, who starred in The New Adventures of Sabrina and After: Chapter 3 and After: Chapter 4, gained more fame thanks to The Boys spin-off, which he starred in. One of the main characters.

He played Andre Anderson, an overpowered student at Godolkin University, managed by Vought International and co-starred with Jazz Sinclair, Lizzie Broadway, Maddie Phillips, Derek Loos, London Thor, Asa German and Patrick Schwarzenegger.

The Gen V and Prime Video teams were apparently quick to respond to the sad news of Chance Perdomo’s disappearance, announcing that production on Season 2 has been suspended for the time being.

Translation: “We didn’t fully understand what happened. To those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and cheerful, an artist full of enthusiasm for nature, an incredibly talented artist and, above all, a very kind. And lovely person.

It makes no sense to even write about it in the past tense. Our condolences go out to the Chance family and we mourn the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.”

Gen V Season 2 has been postponed indefinitely

The cast was due to meet in early April for the first collective reading of the scripts ahead of filming scheduled to begin on April 8 in Toronto. After Chance Perdomo’s death, production on Gen V season 2 has apparently been delayed.

According to Deadline, filming has been postponed indefinitely. The writers and producers of Gen V will be faced with a dilemma regarding the continuation of the series: Should we hire a new actor to replace Chance Pedromo and play Andre Anderson or should the character disappear in season 2?

Whatever the decision, it won’t be easy for the Gen V teams. But for now, it’s time to think and mourn for the actor’s relatives and colleagues.

The first season of Gen V is available on Prime Video.
