This French mega star with 40 million records sold will be in the voice cast of Ryan Reynolds’ new film.

In theaters May 8, 2024, Blue & Compagnie presents top-notch vocal casting with Jose Garcia and Milen Farmer! The former provides the voice of Blue, a giant toy, children’s imaginary friend. As for the other, she voices Blossom, an extraordinary dancer who is always ready to make you a cup of tea.

Amazing duo

Before Blue, Jose Garcia had already provided his voice in several animated films, such as Encanto, in which he played Bruno twice. He is also behind Madagascar franchise Alex Lom’s stamp. He also voiced Mushu in the Disney classic Mulan, as well as Tulio’s Road to El Dorado.

For Mylène Farmer, this is her second experience in synchro after Luc Besson’s Arthur and the Minimoys. He doubled up there for Princess Selenia. On Blue & Company, the singer and actress rediscovers her favorite subject, imaginary friends.

Indeed, 20 years ago, Mylene Farmer wrote an extraordinary tale on the same subject: Lisa-Loop and the Narrator or the story of a little girl and her imaginary friend.

Ryan Reynolds, on the other hand, is voiced by the formidable Pierre Tessier, recently recognized for his interpretation of Nintendo’s mustachioed plumber in Super Mario Bros.

Written and directed by John Krasinski (Quiet), Blue & Company follows a young girl named Beeze (Kaylee Fleming). The latter one day discovers that he can see everyone’s imaginary friends. Then begins a magical adventure to reconnect each child with their forgotten imaginary friend.

On the VO casting side, it’s Steve Carell who voices Blue and Phoebe Waller-Bridge who voices Blossom. Blue & Company hits theaters May 8.
