The Z790 Aorus

In the world of hardware we are already used to seeing very different products, especially when it comes to limited editions. Gigabyte’s next motherboard takes this to heart, and while it hasn’t been announced yet, it will have a unique gold socket and a giant heatsink on the PCIe 5.0 SSD’s M.2 port.

Renders of the Z790 Aorus Xtreme Ice have been leaked Facebook via a post by user Duy Manh. Given the level of detail of the rendering, it is very unlikely that the material is fake, even more so if we consider that Gigabyte has very enthusiastic lines in your player portfolio. A limited edition of the large RTX 4090 Aorus can also be seen.

Cutting to the chase, the Aorus Xtreme has a very different design, with some of the white housing and a fully textured plate made of crystallized titanium. In the socket area, the manufacturer has placed a translucent protector to protect the fitting, which is golden in color. However, it is not yet known whether this is simply a traditional paint job over the silver grip, or whether there is actually some type of gold coating applied to the mechanism, which uses the excellent Intel Z790 chipset;

Huge PCIe 5.0 SSD cooler

In addition to the gold detail, the gigantic heat sink for the SSD PCIe 5.0 gets a lot of attention. It’s nothing new for companies to sell these products advanced cooling systems, but Gigabyte’s project is different. This cooling system will possibly be compatible or exclusive with the SSDs of the brand itself, which has a range of top-of-the-line products abroad.

The Z790 Aorus Xtreme Ice could not be missing, equipped with a mini display in the area near the connectors. Apparently, you can see the brand logo and tracking information as CPU temperature, GPU, component frequency, etc. Judging by the size of this motherboard, there is a possibility that this model is in the E-ATX format, which is incompatible with many cases.

With the leaked images, the expectation is that Gigabyte will launch the Z790 Aorus Xtreme Ice soon. The product must be sold with very limited stock, as there is a serial number engraved on the front.
