Searchlight Pictures has released the trailer for “See How They Run”, a whodunit-style detective comedy set behind the scenes of London’s 1950s theatrical world.

In the plot, plans for a film version of a hit comedy are abruptly halted after the murder of a key member of the team. When Inspector Stoppard and his anxious fledgling companion Agent Stalker take on the case, they find themselves catapulted into an enigma amidst the glamor and squalor of London’s boxes and dressing rooms. And he soon realizes that prime suspects aren’t just suspects. They are also potential victims of a serial killer on the loose.

The grandiose cast includes Sam Rockwell (“Three Ads for a Murder”) and Saoirse Ronan (“Little Women”) as the detectives, Adrien Brody (“The French Chronicle”) as the dead man and a group of suspects, including Harris Dickinson (“King’s Man: Inception”), Ruth Wilson (“The Affair”) and David Oyelowo (“Selma”).

The screenplay is by Mark Chappell (creator of the “Flaked” series) and directed by Tom George (“This Country”), who makes his film debut.

The launch is scheduled for September 29 in Brazil, one day before the United States.
