Oscar winner for Oppenheimer, the Iron Man interpreter has been in the franchise since the first film, released in 2008
Interpreter of Iron Manone of the most beloved characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Robert Downey Jr., who recently won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Oppenheimer (2023), revealed whether he would participate in the franchise again.
In an interview with Esquirethe actor, who has been in Marvel productions since the beginning of the cinematic universe, in 2008, stated that the franchise is part of his DNA and, therefore, believes that his return is quite possible:
“It’s an integral part of my DNA. This role chose me. And, look, I always say, ‘Never, ever bet against Kevin Feige [presidente da Marvel Studios]. He is the house [de apostas]. He will always win”he joked.
Downey Jr. debuted as the Iron Man along with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the release of Iron Manin 2008. Since then, he has appeared in nine other productions in the franchise, including two sequels focused on his character and Avengers: Endgamea 2019 feature film, which marked the farewell of Iron Man.
