Cruzeiro wanted a Flamengo professional as a technical assistant

In addition to Filipe Luís, Raposa contacted Alex and former defender Cris in search of an experienced technical assistant, but without success.

Cruzeiro have hired Fernando Seabra as coach following the sacking of Nicolás Larcamón. However, Raposa tried to fill the technical committee with former athletes and people who know football. And a former Flamengo player was an option.

Former full-back Filipe Luís, who recently retired, was approached by Cruzeiro to be Seabra’s assistant. The answer, however, was negative. The former athlete currently has other plans to continue his football career. The former athlete, moreover, plays in the youth categories of Flamengo.

Cruzeiro was still looking for other names for the position. Former midfielder Alex, who currently works as a coach, was also contacted. He, however, rejected the offer because he understood that it was not the time to be an assistant. The former number 10 is currently without a club.

In fact, a move considered different was the search for Cris, the club’s former defender. The former defender identifies himself with the Celeste fan. Furthermore he did not want to take on the role at this time as he currently has other goals. Cris develops his coaching career in France.

Now Cruzeiro is trying to sign Moisés Moura, a former defender who played for Raposa between 2005 and 2006 and was a champion of Minas Gerais.
