A month after being the victim of racial abuse in a Rio de Janeiro supermarket, journalist Daniel Nascimento was again targeted by racists, but this time on the Internet. Criticizing Beatriz’s position on the “Gina Indelicada” profile, Daniele Nascimento, from the newspaper ‘O Dia’, was attacked by a physical education student, from Belo Horizonte, with a profile called Cesar Edu. “Black people gotta lick black people, ugh,” the person said. The journalist responded to the prejudice with an ironic tone and warned the man about his rights after having suffered racism:

“Yes! Don’t racists lick racists? Then everything is fine. And if you cry, I will comment more (…) Just be careful not to be prosecuted. Racial slur is a criminal offense and is not punishable by bail. If you want to lose your first delinquent, if you still have him, continue”.

The man continued to hurl insults and racist comments, as he told the reporter “Rest of Africa” and call him “shareholder”. “Sue me, darling. My love, you’ll never know who I am. I have six cell phones.”He said.

Daniel confirmed that he will open a lawsuit against the Internet user: “Your request is an order. Just remember that even if it is false, it will not be difficult to legally request the user data breach from Meta and track down who is behind it. It’s time for racists who think the Internet is the land learns about no one, just like you,” the columnist said.
