Recently, the Variety reported that the “Joker” sequel will have at least 15 renditions of classic songs, such as “That’s Entertainment,” originally performed in the 1953 musical “The Band Wagon,” starring Judy Garland.
The film is also expected to feature its own compositions, thus adding originality and great reinterpretations (it’s worth mentioning that Lady Gaga is in the cast, so good things should be coming).
The director will be the same as the first film: Todd Phillips, still co-writer with Scott Silver. This time Joaquin Phoenix, who brilliantly played the protagonist in the first plot, will be very well accompanied: Lady Gaga will play a romantic partner with Phoenix: none other than Harley Quinn (Harley Quinn, in Portuguese).
She is joined by Brendan Gleeson and Catherine Keener. Zazie Beetz is another holdover from the original cast, and she reprises her role as Sophie Dumond (Fleck’s neighbor from “Joker”).
