But did you know all the Game of Thrones stars in their new sci-fi series?
While we can find some easily recognizable faces from Game of Thrones among the main cast, a few others may have gone unnoticed. But now they can’t escape you!
John Bradley
In Game of Thrones, John Bradley played Samwell Tarly for eight seasons. In The 3-Body Problem, he plays a completely different character: Jack Rooney, a wealthy entrepreneur who made his fortune selling food.
He is part of the “Oxford Five” gang and tries to find out the mysterious suicide of his friend Vera. It is with his friend Jin (Jess Hong) that he finds himself immersed in the world of a futuristic virtual reality game. A hint that will be fatal for him.

Liam Cunningham
In Game of Thrones, Liam Cunningham played Stannis Baratheon’s (Stephen Dylan) former advisor and Jon Snow’s future confidant, Ser Davos Merwoth. He first appears in Season 2 and remains a pivotal role, even if we consider him one of the supporting characters.
In The Three-Body Problem, he plays Thomas Wade, an extremely powerful and mysterious Secret Service agent. For some time now, he has been leading the investigation of various suspicious deaths of scientists. And he stands first on the front lines for the upcoming war against San.

Jonathan Price
In Game of Thrones, Jonathan Pryce appeared in seasons 5 and 6 as the fearsome High Sparrow, the leader of the religious sect he leads. He plays Mike Evans in The Three Body Problem.
The son of an oil tycoon, he worked as a conservationist for years before becoming a wealthy entrepreneur himself and leading a mysterious organization with his own financial resources. He is a priori the only person who is in direct contact and dialogue with San-Ti.

Mark Gatiss
In Game of Thrones, Mark Gatiss only appeared in four episodes as Tycho Nestoris. He is the representative of the Iron Bank of Braavos, responsible for the personalities who come to the bank, such as Stannis Baratheon or Mace Tyrell.
On the other hand, in the 3-body problem, we see Mark Gatiss in a brief guest role in episode 3 as the virtual game player Isaac Newton.

Conlett Hill
On Game of Thrones, Conleth Hill delivered many memorable moments over eight seasons as Master Varys. On the other hand, in the 3-body problem it is barely recognizable at first glance.
In Episode 3, he hides in the guise of Pope Gregory XIII, masked with a sudden and fluffy beard and a huge crown.

Kevin Eldon
British comedian Kevin Eldon played not one, but two different roles in Game of Thrones. In season six, he played Camelo, an actor from Bravos, and did his best Ned Stark impersonation on stage.
However, in Season 7, he had an unpleasant (and deadly) encounter with Gendry’s hammer as Goldrock in King’s Landing.
In The 3-Body Problem, we can see him in an unexpected and funny scene in episode 2. As the video game character Sir Thomas More, he welcomes Jack Rooney into the VR game world and then directly greets the latter with his fist.
