Released in theaters in November 2014, Interstellar impressed many audiences and was also a huge success. The Christopher Nolan-directed sci-fi film grossed $733 million worldwide on an estimated budget of $165 million.

For reference, the feature film tells the adventures of a group of explorers led by Cooper, played by Matthew McConaughey. The latter exploits a recently discovered gap in space-time to push back the limits of man and conquer astronomical distances through interstellar travel.

To celebrate the film’s 10th anniversary, variety reveals that a 70mm IMAX release is planned for the United States. This version will return on September 27, 2024 to the land of Uncle Sam.

We don’t yet know if France will once again receive Interstellar in cinemas, as no announcement has yet been made on the subject by Warner and Paramount, who are responsible for the release.

Interstellar is one of the films that generated the most passion on AlloCiné: viewers rated it 4.5 out of 5 (80,829 average ratings).

Christopher Nolan recently won the Academy Award for Best Picture and Best Director for the biopic Oppenheimer, about the father of the atomic bomb. The feature film was a huge commercial success with $970 million in its pocket.
