If the giant monkey and lizard are indeed one of the biggest monsters you can encounter in dark rooms, there are a few other phenomena that you will have to identify in the quiz below.
But before you play, here are some filming secrets about Adam Wingard’s film, which is currently number one at the French box office.
2 parallel plots
Godzilla x Kong: The New Kingdom has two parallel storylines. The first follows the journey of Gia (Caley Hotley), who discovers that there are other members of her community, the Ivys, who still live in a wondrous civilization in the Hollow Earth. The second relates to Kong’s journey:He is also about to discover that there are other members of his species, but in his case they are toiling in this hellish underground.“
A new threat
Adam Wingard wanted Godzilla and Kong’s adversary to be more complex than just a monster threatening the planet: “Generally, when you make a Godzilla or a Kong movie, humanity is the biggest threat, the biggest obstacle, and the biggest problem. This is important in the mythology of Godzilla and Kong, because in most cases, it is humanity that destroys the planet and threatens nature.“
“Thanks to the inherent humanity of Kong’s character, we envisioned an adversary like the Scar King: it was a way to evoke the dark side of the human species, but from the monster’s point of view – which meant creating something bigger. A threat controlled by the Scar King. Just as humans command armies and possess weapons of mass destruction, the Scar King has equally devastating powers.“, says the director.
