The phenomenon series Les Bracelets rouge returns this Monday, April 15 on TF1 for its fifth and final season.
It’s been a month since the death of Benji (Léo Lorleac’h). While Emma (Cally Boyson), Zoë (Esther Blanc), César (Maxim Pipette) and Nathan (Noah Derrick) had to mourn the loss of their friend, Prudence (Chile Sufiri), a new patient, was admitted to Leonardo Da Vinci’s hospital. And suffice it to say, the teenager promises to make a big splash at Hospital Center!
Who is Prudence, the gang rebel?
So Prudence will be the last to join the red bracelet gang. Rebellious and daring, this young teenager arrives at the Leonardo da Vinci hospital after a spectacular fall from the school roof.
If Prudence quickly befriends Emma, who returns to the hospital with a stomach hematoma, it risks getting a little more complicated with the rest of the gang. And more specifically with Nathan, with whom the relationship is particularly energetic.
But Prudence is very familiar with Leonardo da Vinci’s hospital, and especially with members of the medical profession…
“We wanted to create a colorful character”
In an interview for the final season of Red Bracelets, series creator Marie Madinier spoke to Allociné about the creation of this new character.
“Prudence is a character that emerged very early in the writing. At first we wanted him to be brave, which he ends up being after falling off the roof of his high school. We wanted to create a fairly colorful character that we liked, but not convenient. In other words, Prudence is someone who does not complain, is quite a fighter, has character and is very responsive. “- he explained to us then.
and added, “Continuing to think about it, we came up with the idea of making her the daughter of a hospital doctor. We could not suspect that this doctor had a daughter of this character. It’s a bit of his Achilles heel. We were very happy to see Prudence mistreat her father, a man respected by her colleagues.“.
But above all, this brand new character allows the series’ writers to revisit important themes through Prudence. “He is also a character that allowed us to address the theme of the severity of hospital life and the loss of autonomy. We were very interested– concludes Mari Madinieri.
Catch the first episodes of the final season of Bracelets Rouges tonight at 9.10pm on TF1.
