Tonight on TV: When the king of con men meets Eli Semune, it makes for more enjoyable comedy

A night dedicated to good humor with good-natured comedy, what do you think? So head over to TFX to discover Les Vacances de Ducobu, the second film featuring the deliciously rogue character from Zidro and Godi’s comics.

Although the first feature film received several albums from the comic, director Philippe de Chevron (who would later sign three “What shall we do with the good Lord?” films) wanted to stage an original story here.

As a student Doukobu, having already laid the foundations for the characters, he felt freer to improvise and thus embarked on this unique treasure, a mixture of comedy and adventure.

Actor Vincent Claude who played Doucobu the front partHe could not repeat his role Dukobu holidays. Having become too old, he had to be replaced by a younger actor, François Viet.

The latter only came to the auditions for an additional role, but he was noticed by the casting director and won over with his energy and spontaneity.

When the actor was asked to describe his character, he replied: “He’s stingy, he’s jealous, he’s a coward: even worse than before!” Needless to say, this sequel is likely to be an eventful one!
