Avatar 2: The first glimpses of Kate Winslet’s The Path of Water character have arrived

I may be an idiot, but I felt like Kate Winslet’s new character in the next one Avatar: The way of water I was going to be human. As Sam Worthington’s soldier character before stepping into his avatar and joining the Na’vi tribe in the mystical kingdom of Pandora. But now, according to exclusive images shared with Empire, we see that Winslet’s Avatar character is actually blue and a Na’vi leader, named Ronal. Take a look.

If nothing else, Kate Winslet looks like a ferocious warrior on the cover of Empire (via her instagram account ). And in the cover story associated with the image, we learn more about Ronal from the actress herself. Winslet goes so far as to name two James Cameron icons by comparing Ronal to Sarah Connor’s terminator fame, and Ripley from the Alien franchise, which Cameron filled with adrenaline when he replaced Ridley Scott aliens. Winslet explains:

If we’re honest, every female action star has tried to follow Sarah Connor and Ripley’s legacy. But if anyone can do it, it’s Kate Winslet.
