The director of Assassins of the Flower Moon promises great productions for the next few years.
After bringing the acclaimed 2023 feature film to life, Flower Moon Assassins, Martin Scorsese is about to return to the spotlight.
According to news shared by Variety, the director has two new productions planned for the next few years. In the first we will see a film on the teachings of Jesus on the screen, while in the other we will delve into the biography of Frank Sinatra.
For the work of Messiah, the director intends to adapt the book The life of Jesus, written in 1973 by Shūsaku Endō. Scorsese even revealed in an interview with the LA Times that the idea was born after a meeting with Pope Francis, considering similar names Andrea Garfield AND Miles Teller for some roles.
As for Frank Sinatra’s life, the idea is to continue Leonardo Dicaprio in the skin of the musician and Jennifer Lawrence for the role of his second wife, Ava Gardner. Rumors indicate that the film is attracting interest from major movie studios and streaming companies, competing with Apple and Sony to acquire its copyrights.
It should also be noted that, on the horizon, there is a collaboration with Scorsese Steven Spielberg for a TV series entitled Cape Fear, belonging to Apple TV+. In it, the two directors will work as executive producers, adapting the films of 1961 AND 1991 to television screens.
