Rebel Moon – Part 2: The Scar Markersequence of Rebel Moon – Part 1: The Fire Girlhas just arrived on Netflix, but Zack Snyder (Army of the Dead: Las Vegas Invasion) is already thinking about the future of the franchise. In an interview with Radio Timesthe filmmaker revealed that he has a plan for “four to six films” to expand the story.
“I think four [filmes] make sense. Four or six films (…). I think it will depend on whether we have time to make one or more films, that’s the question”he said Snyder.
“Would audiences be disappointed if the saga ended with the third film? Or would they think, ‘Oh, just one more? Great’. We absolutely have the story all prepared, we did that work. We wrote a script treatment for the films, and Now we’ll see if we can do it”added the filmmaker.
Rebel Moon – Part 1: The Fire Girl presented the story of an intergalactic colony threatened by a tyrannical ruler. Due to the conflict, a desperate group sends Kora (Sofia Boutella, Climax), a young woman with a mysterious past, on a quest for warriors from neighboring planets to help them defeat the villain.
The sequence, The Scar Marker, continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors. Alongside the brave people of Veldt, they are ready to sacrifice whatever it takes to defend the village that has become home to those who lost everything and everyone in the fight against the Mother World.
On the eve of battle, each of them must face the truths about their own past and the reasons that led them to fight. With the Kingdom willing to annihilate the rebels at any cost, bonds are formed, heroes emerge and legends are born. Watch the trailer:
