Leapmotor will launch C10 Electric in the Brazilian market in 2025

The model will mark the relay of Reev technology in the country

The Chinese car manufacturer of Leapmotor Electric Cars, one of the brands of the Stellantis automotive group, revealed that it will be released by the end of the year in Brazil and Chile the C10 with Reev (range of extended electrical vehicles).

In a declaration issued on Wednesday (16), Stellantis reported that Leapmotor’s news “will become a watershed in the segment”.

“For the first time in the history of the market, a producer will offer Brazil an electrified vehicle by Reev within a large segment. The Reev C10 will be launched in Brazil and Chile in 2025, together with its exclusively electric version,” said Fernando Varela, vice president of Leagmotor in South America.

Marcio Tonani, senior senior vice -president of South America of Stellantis, explained that the model “adopts a combustion engine designed exclusively to generate electricity, which is used to move the car through an electric motor or to recharge the batteries”.

“With Reev, the customer must reach the comfort of a purely electric guide with the freedom to be able to recharge or provide, opting for what is more convenient for him, without suffering from the anxiety of autonomy,” he added.

Unlike hybrid and plug-in hybrid cars, the combustion engine of combs in reev does not directly drive the wheels, which makes the set lighter and more efficient and allows the engine to work in the best performance intervals.

The Reev C10 will become the first model inserted in a large segment that will have this technology in the Brazilian territory. The car will land in Brazil and Chile markets with its exclusively electric version and next to the recently released B10 SUV.
