Tomorrow Belongs to Us: Charlie’s Departure, Francois-Soizik Couple… Revelations of Emmanuelle Moir

Francois (Emmanuel Moir) had a year full of extraordinary twists and turns in “Tomorrow Belongs to Us.”

Between the destruction of Agnès Varda’s high school and her health problems, the writers of daily soap opera TF1 spared nothing for the French teacher. Neither is her love story with Charlie (Clemens Lasalles).

It must be said that this couple, very popular in society, no longer had the same desires. If Charlie wanted to live in Canada and raise a family with his partner, this was not the case with Françoise. Refusing to be a burden to him, the latter then ended the relationship.

Today, François has moved on and is now in a love affair with his ex-husband, Soizic (Charlie Nunes). But what does the future hold for him?

Emmanuel Moir, introduced at the CANNSERIES festival, spoke to Allociné about what awaits Francois in the next episodes.

Allociné: This summer was marked by the departure of Clemens Lassalles and the end of the iconic couple Francois-Charles. Did you feel heartache when your partner left?

Emmanuel Moir : Yes and no, because it is primarily Clemens’ choice. He had been working on Tomorrow Belongs to Us for many years and wanted to tackle other projects. I didn’t really feel any pain in my heart because we didn’t miss anything we had to do together. We never missed anything, so we made it to the end. And I also admit that maybe this couple was walking in circles a bit. It’s heartbreaking to see him and laugh with him on set. But we see each other. If we miss each other, we see each other.

Francois is now living a love story with Soizic. Were you surprised that your character got back with his ex-wife so quickly? Didn’t you feel it was a little too fast?

Yes, and to be honest, I talked to the authors about it. Especially after the breakup of high school, the Charlie-Francois couple felt even more. True, very soon I had to play cowardice and lies, little about everything we did not know about this man. That said, they flirt with chaos and the dark side of this character. Obviously, this created something special in the community. Despite everything, I find the Soizik-Francois rapprochement consistent, because this is a couple who have been together and know each other very well. We also understand why Francois met Charlie when we know he was with Soizic. I find that there is a consistency in the women in his life.

Is this a serious story between Soizic and Françoise, maybe they should consider getting married?

There will be great expectations from Soizic. From the beginning, we can clearly see that she is back to get the man of her life back. I think it is very important for him to go all the way. Soizic has a possessive side that Francois lacks. In fact, Francis loves people, but he doesn’t need people to belong to him. Besides, that’s what was great about Françoise and Charlie breaking up. Because he loves her, he tells her that it is better for them to break up. He understood that he would never give her what she wanted. It’s so cool that Francois thinks the people he loves don’t belong to him. And I think that’s the case with the François-Soizik couple as well. Expectations of marriage are more on Soizic’s side.

So you don’t want to marry Francois?

I don’t think he cares about that.

The fact that François and Soizic are still together is also an opportunity for the screenwriters to consolidate the Lehaut family. What can we expect from this family in the upcoming episodes?

Much has been written about this family. Since I have double news after the release of my single, the authors are going to leave Lehauts for now. Everything that happens is a lot more lightness and comedy to make the audience even more attached to this family.

We will see a lot of Francois-Soizik couple. They tease each other, they argue, they argue, they argue (laughs). We will discover a new Francis. I think Charlie Nune is taking me there. It’s a pleasure to work with him. I’m excited to make my game smarter and spicier, I find it very interesting.

We see much less of Francois as a teacher. With a new arrival at Georges Brassens along with Melody and Agnes, can we hope to see the teaching staff get a bit more of a spotlight?

It’s starting, but I think it’s basically going to come back at the beginning of the school year to really get a slightly larger faculty signed up.

François’s father occasionally appeared in Tomorrow belongs to us. Could he be returning to the series soon? Can we imagine the Soizic family arriving in Sete?

It is not planned yet, but it would be very interesting to see the Soizic family. As for Francois’ father, he will be happy to return. I also like to play with Christian Vadim.

Do you have any wishes for Francoise?

It’s so cool that the writers went so far with Francoise’s character and I’m all for it. The main thing for me is to bring the scope, sincerity and authenticity of things. I want people to believe and become trustworthy. The character of François is very important to me. I liked that he lost his temper and we didn’t know each other. I like that it goes very deep into the emotional side. For me, the strength of the depth of the toy is important.

At the same time, I wish there was more middle school and teenage stuff. I like the idea of Francois imparting knowledge. I miss playing this. I did a lot when I joined the series and found it very cool. I like words, so I like doing this.

Do you have any other projects outside of the show that you can talk about?

I am very happy that I took advantage of these last years and developed into the actor that I was. It was really something important to me. I didn’t think I’d be doing this every day, but I’m excited because I’ve expanded my range of games. But I missed the music. It took me a while to say and convey.

My new single “Be a Man” just came out. I was impatient and excited. I believe in what needs to be done. Above all, it’s the joy of reconnecting with the song, the audience, and the stage that needs to happen. It’s important to me. And then the song is different, because I tell my stories, what I see, what concerns me. This is me. It is also important for me to express myself there. So I’m quite happy.
